Four Generations of Farming
Mastronardi Produce has been growing vegetables for more than 60 years. It all started with Grandpa Umberto Mastronardi, who had a vision to provide consumers with fresh greenhouse-grown vegetables all year long. Four generations later, the Mastronardi family is still in the business of growing the good – and we couldn’t be happier that we get to deliver it to you.
While they use the latest in greenhouse technology to adhere to Grandpa’s vision, some things are just better kept the old-fashioned way, like the way the produce is vine-ripened and hand-picked to ensure only the best and freshest make it to consumers’ tables.
They provide Longo’s and Grocery Gateway with English and mini cucumbers, peppers and four varieties of tomatoes – grape, beefsteak, cherry and vine!
The business really grew out of my dad's passion for for great fruit. He was an Italian who loved to cook and always said a meal is as good as what you put into it.
