COOKING DIRECTIONS(for 4 servings) STOVE-TOP METHOD 1. Rinse rice well in water before cooking. 2. Bring 500 ml (2 cups) of water to a vigorous boil in a saucepan that has a tight fitting lid. 3. Add 250 ml (1 cup) of Dainty Basmati Rice. Optional: 5 ml (1 tsp.) salt, 15 ml (1 tbsp.) butter or margarine, squirt of lime juice. Cover saucepan. 4. Simmer 12 minutes without removing lid. Remove saucepan from heat and allow to stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff lightly and serve. MICROWAVE METHOD 1. Combine 250 ml (1 cup) of Dainty Basmati Rice and 500 ml (2 cups) of water in a non-metallic bowl. Optional: 5 ml (1 tsp.) salt, 15 ml (1 tbsp.) butter or margarine, squirt of lime juice. 2. Cover and microwave on MED-HIGH for 12 minutes. (Adjust power or time as required) 3. Remove, fluff lightly, and let stand for 5-10 minutes. Serve.
